What is the difference between “Funded” and “Eligible” scope?

According to the instructions in the 2008 Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program Data Report (formerly known as CADR), Funded and Eligible scope are defined as follows:

Funded Scope: Data on "clients receiving services paid for exclusively with Ryan White [Program] funds."

Eligible Scope: Data on "clients receiving any service eligible for [Part A, B, C or D] funding are included in the report even if the service was not paid for with Ryan White [Program] funds."

According to these instructions: "Grantees and providers who choose to report only on the subset of clients who received services funded by CARE Act Title funds must have special permission from their HRSA Project Officer."

My organization is interested in learning more about reporting Funded scope data. What should I do?

If you are interested in learning more about reporting data using the Funded scope, please let us know. We are available to talk with you about this, and we may be able to connect you with other grantees that have gone through this transition. Send us an email or submit your comments online by visiting our Contact Us page.

If your program wishes to begin reporting Funded scope, you will need to talk directly with your HRSA Project Officer.
